I love finding reclaimed wood to cut and use for my license plate signs and birdhouses! Each piece is unique.
I grew up in Minnesota, moved away for a few years, but had to come back - I love my home, you betcha.

Repurposed Treasures for You and Your Home

I work all day as a mental health professional, which I love, but a big part of being in a “helping profession” is making time to engage in self-care as well. Running my Etsy shop is my creative outlet and my self-care!

One my favorite things to do is upcycle old items into something new. I’ve been doing this since I was young and stored a box of pretty paper scraps under my bed I called my “confetti box.” My taste has broadened a bit, but I still love finding the potential and beauty in things that might otherwise be forgotten!

My shop name, Sweet Someday, was inspired by one of my favorite songs, “Someday You Will Be Loved,” by Death Cab for Cutie. For several years, I spent much of my energy dreaming of "someday" instead of embracing the sweetness of today. Eventually, I was able to stop dreaming realized that every day is a Sweet Someday!

I must share that my helpful and talented husband is a key element in me being able to share all of my items. He helps execute some of my complicated ideas and helps me run some of the power tools - he is truly a great support in running my shop!
